Steve Arbour Ann Backes Dodge Terry LaValle Jerry Snustad Dwight Rudquist Laura Thompson Keeley Todd Wendy Uzelac Family Selection Chair - Ralph Nyquist Members Gene Baker Nick Eltgroth Marcie Lindgren Diane Skelly Brooke Staskivige Purpose The purpose of the Family Selection Committee is to prepare, announce and receive applications for potential owners of Habitat homes, all within the guidelines of Itasca County Habitat for Humanity. It's objective is to select and assist as many families as can be effectively served each year, while adhering to Habitat for Humanity International selection criteria. Family Support Members Jane Bonneson Bev Murray Jerry Snustad Jean Thompson Purpose Support families as a friend and information source. Members of the committee monitor progress of the families in the program and provide homeownership training. Fund Development Chair - Wendy Uzelac Members Missy Charnley Ryan Davis Alana Hughes Dan Jackson Luke Popham Diane Skelly Shane Skelly Purpose Work in partnership with the Board of Directors to ensure that the fiscal needs of the affiliate are met and to share the opportunity throughout the community to participate in the ministry with cash and in-kind gifts. Public Relations Chair - Shannon Benolken Members Kim Brink-Smith John Connelly Heathyr Lazo Marie Nitke Stephanie Rose Purpose Educate the community to motivate support for ICHFH. Volunteer Coordination Chair - Ann Backes Dodge Members Jake Goering Ann James Joni Namyist Brooke Staskivige Purpose The Volunteer Coordination Committee exists to identify, recruit, orient, utilize, retain and recognize volunteers in order to carry out the ministry of Habitat for Humanity. The committee is responsible for ensuring that the program is volunteer- friendly and conducive to a rewarding experience to maintain the highest possible level of participation. ReStore Manager - Chris Reyerson Assistant Manager - Chuck Clark Members Keith Anderson Dennis Benolken Sholom Blake Jane Bonneson Ben Edwards Ralph Nyquist Purpose To guide and support the ReStore Manager with creating a sound business plan for a new fundraising program for Habitat - a retail outlet that sells used and surplus building materials to the general public. Money raised will further the ministry of Habitat. Thrivent Builds(Click here to email for more info) Members Chapter Specialists - Joan & Loren Solberg Fund Raising Leader - Mike Carlson Project Leader - Sherry Frick Purpose To bring Thrivent Financial members, Lutheran congregations and individuals and Habitat for Humanity affiliates, partner families and other community members together to help families achieve greater economic independence through building simple, decent homes. The Thrivent Builds Homes grant program sponsors seventy percent of the total for each home approved. Remaining funds will be raised through the efforts of the local Thrivent Chapter, Lutheran congregations and Habitat. In addition to raising funds for one additional home, 50 percent of the volunteers on-site must be Lutheran and of that number, 50 percent must be members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
