Letter From Hanson Family
First of all I would like to say thank you to everyone involved with Habitat for Humanity. This is one of the best learning experiences of my life, I have met so many people and learned so many things over the past year. I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to partner with Habitat.
Habitat wouldn't be possible without the many volunteers that come out to help time and time again, whether it is
on one of the many boards or in the actual construction process. I have had a wonderful time meeting and working with a lot of these people, It made me realize that there are still a large amount of people that help someone else. This all goes along with the theory that Habitat builds the community and out of that process came my house.

I honestly have to say I thought this day would never come! After many hours and lots of sweat I can say that I know exactly what went into the building of my home. From the footing to the roof. This knowledge of the building process will be an assist for years, I know if I have any problems from here out that I have a good possibility of knowing what is wrong or have a better understanding of what it would take to fix it, on top of everything else I have a house that is mine. My house may not be top of the line with all the frills but it is more than adequate and nicer than any place I have ever rented.

There is also a lot of pride in ownership because of being included in the construction. I couldn't ask for anything better at this point in my life. I have a beautiful home on a zero percent interest loan with payments that i can afford and two very happy children that absolutely lover their new house. So once again thanks to everyone, we will enjoy our home for years to come.

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16
