Without dedicated volunteers like you, Itasca County Habitat for Humanity could not fulfill our goal of partnering with families to build and preserve safe, decent, and affordable housing right here in our community. All are welcome!
Swinging a hammer is not a requirement to volunteer with Itasca County Habitat for Humanity. We invite people from all walks of life to join us in making affordable housing a reality for local families. No matter your experience, stage of life, skill set, or passion, there is a meaningful place for you in our work. Volunteering with Itasca County Habitat for Humanity is a great way to meet new people while working toward a shared goal: building stronger, more stable communities. When families have safe and affordable places to live, the entire community benefits. Research shows that people who volunteer often experience higher levels of self-confidence and overall well-being—and many even report living longer, healthier lives. Our volunteers come in all shapes and sizes, backgrounds and beliefs, professions and skill levels. What they all share is a commitment to making a difference and a willingness to help neighbors in need. Volunteers are essential to advancing our mission in Itasca County. Most volunteer opportunities take place on our construction sites or at the Habitat ReStore, where donated materials are sold to support our housing programs and diverted from the landfill. From time to time, we also welcome help with office projects, outreach, and special events. Whether you can give a few hours or make an ongoing commitment, your time and talents can help build homes, hope, and community in Itasca County. Call Chris at 218-999-9001 or email [email protected] to volunteer.
