The Habitat 500 is a bike ride done by sponsored riders in order to raise funds for and awareness of Habitat for Humanity's mission. Riders ride throughout Minnesota for week long, three-day, or one-day journeys, visiting Habitat sites, affiliates, and homeowners along the way. Riders who ride for the whole week cover 500 miles in the course of their journey.
Itasca County Habitat for Humanity's rider this year was Greg DeMuth, who has ridden for Itasca County Habitat for Humanity for the past six years! This year's ride has concluded, but it's never too early to start thinking about next year's Habitat 500! If you think you might be interested in riding for Habitat next year, contact us to learn how to get started. |
