Itasca County Habitat for Humanity is once again partnering with United Way of 1000 Lakes for Day of Action! We'll be doing home preservation, community cleanup projects, and more in Coleraine's downtown corridor.
Traditionally, Day of Action has occurred on or around the longest day of the year, June 21st. This year, in light of physical distancing guidelines, we’re planning a virtual outreach event on June 19th, and will gather to complete projects in small volunteer groups throughout the summer. Residents can request or nominate a recipient for a variety of volunteer-led projects including landscaping, window washing, painting, light maintenance, energy efficiency improvements, and more.
How to Get Involved:
- Submit a Project Request: If you or someone you know could benefit from a home improvement or yard maintenance project in downtown Coleraine, let us know by filling out the form below or calling United Way at 218-999-7570.
- Donate Blood: Blood supply is in great need. Help out and donate at our Day of Action Blood Drives, occurring on June 18th in Grand Rapids and June 19th in Coleraine. Sign up: Grand Rapids | Coleraine
- Tune In: Join us for a virtual kickoff on June 19th!
- Volunteer: Sign up for a project later in the summer – individuals and groups can sign up, and we’re encouraging those who already spend time together to sign up as a group – so gather your family, co-workers, or neighbors!
