We rely on volunteers to help us build and repair homes with partner families, operate our ReStore, and represent us in the community. Volunteering with Habitat provides an opportunity to become more involved in your community, meet new people, and maybe learn something new! Have a look at the volunteer positions listed below. If you're interested in volunteering, or even if you're not sure but want to know more, fill out the form at the bottom of the page!
ReStore Volunteer Positions
Cashiers will operate the cash register, help customers check out, answer the telephone, and assist with general customer service.
Love to decorate and create displays? Help us create an attractive and organized store. This is a great way to start your involvement at the ReStore!
Receiving and loading
Assist staff in unloading donations and loading purchases for customers. Strong back and willingness to have fun required!
Sales floor assistants
Greet customers, assist customers in making purchases, and help maintain a clean store.
We build houses, but we tear them apart, too. We need volunteers on site to save quality materials from homes that are being remodeled or demolished. Salvage volunteers go to sites and remove things like cabinets, appliances, doors, windows, and flooring. These items are then brought to the ReStore to be sold.
Pickup volunteers take our truck and trailer, collecting donations of new and gently used home improvement materials, furniture, and appliances and deliver them to the ReStore.
We always need volunteers to help clean, repair, sort, and stock donations.
Other Volunteer Positions
We always need construction volunteers to help on our build sites! Construction volunteers help with framing, roofing, painting, and more. To learn more about volunteering at a build site, click here.
Lunch providers provide a meal for our construction crews during builds and home preservation projects.
Family support volunteers act as mentors to partner families. Volunteers help prepare families for home ownership and continue to check in on families throughout their first year as homeowners.
Our family selection committee reviews partner family applications for our new home and home preservation programs.
We can also use volunteer help with administrative work, fundraising, and community outreach. If you have a particular skill you'd like to share with us, let us know!
